about

New record labels enter the market with increasing abandon these days, but if FOMP's latest record is anything to go by, they'll be making a distinct impression for some time yet.
Helmed by Londoner Joseph Hines, the recently established imprint harbours a propensity for the more luscious, sun-kissed side of the spectrum, with Luka's 'Look Beyond' EP offering up a recent case in point.
'Dream Walker' kicks off matters courtesy of a lackadaisical strut that keeps the listener captivated throughout. Dexterous and interwoven with multiple colourful hues, it's the sort of gorgeous record that's sure to open any DJ set with sure fire elegance.
Ofuren's 'Roots Go Deep' dub is no less enticing, with this one crafted on a gradually more forceful tip. As its title suggests, it opts for a deep approach too, while its melancholy vibes ensure it's the sort of record worth getting proverbially 'lost' in.
'Polar Dimension' ups the ante considerably via its winning combination of cosmic synths and tribal percussion. Fred Buddah & Ofuren strip matters back a notch before a playful bassline is added to the equation, before Yao Kuwane signs off the package with a remix that's basking in even more warm, intricate and bittersweet sounds.
